Now that "Z Nation" has just concluded, fans and viewers will be glad to know that the zombie adventure show will be returning for a fifth season next year.

Producer David Michael Latt revealed in a Twitter post the positive news which stated, "THANK YOU #ZNATION FANS - WE'VE BEEN RENEWED FOR A 5TH SEASON! How could @SYFY say no? #ITSAFANTHING ! Cast & Crew: See you on the set in 2018!"

Latt previously assured the fans that he would them inform them of the cancellation or renewal immediately. True to his word, after he had a meeting with Syfy, he posted the outcome on social media instantly. Fans can look forward to more adventures of Roberta Warren (Kellita Smith), Murphy (Keith Allan), and the rest of the survivors in next year's installment.

In the recent season 4 finale, Warren's visions revealed to her that she had to attach the Zona canister to the drone. Once in the air, the vehicle would then be able to spread the cure contained in the canister. However, when Warren got hit on the head by a Zona employee, she suddenly remembered that the bottle didn't actually contain the antidote but rather another virus that would kill all remaining life forms. Apparently, this was Zona's nefarious plan.

Warren then went on the drone again to remove the canister. However, once on board, the shutter doors suddenly closed, and she got trapped inside the vehicle. The drone then took off automatically with her. Warren was able to deactivate the spread of the virus but was in danger of crashing to the ground. Fans have to wait until next year to find out the fate of Warren and the rest of the survivors.

"Z Nation" season 5 is expected to return sometime in 2018. Stay tuned for more updates as the situation unfolds.
